  • 1965 - 2003 Taught at Boston University, Currently Professor Emeritus
  • 1962 - 1965 Taught at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, and Milton Academy
  • 1961 Received diploma with honors from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
  • 1953-1956 Student at the Ogunquit School of Painting and Sculpture

 

      Awards include:

  •  2007 Elizabeth N. Watrous Award and Medal in the 182nd Exhibition of Contemporary American Art, National Academy of Design New York
  •  2005 Harry Watrous Prize in the 180th Annual Exhibition, National Academy of Design, New York
  •  2001 Orville Lance Prize for Sculpture in the 176th Annual Exhibition, National Academy of Design, New York
  •  1996  First Prize for Sculpture in 171st Annual Exhibition, National Academy of Design, New York
  •  1981 Saint Gaudens Fellowship
  •  1977 Massachusetts Council for the Arts and Humanities grant
  •  1975-1976 Fullbright grant for study in Kyoto Japan
  •  1973 Recipient of a Blanche E. Colman Award
